DESCRIPTION: Our 40 hour train the trainer course will give your employee a working knowledge on professional teaching skills to instruct other employees within your company. You will also be given PowerPoints, Lesson Plans and Tests for HAZWOPER 40, 24, and 8 hour refresher courses.

Subject knowledge, lesson plans, class control, speaking skills and a relaxing/learning atmosphere are the basic core ideas that will be expressed throughout the course.

The course is taught by Department of Defense, Pro Board, IFSAC (International Fire Service Accreditation Congress), NPQS (National Professional Qualification System) Instructors. Instructors have an extensive working relationship with the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, Hungarian Defense Forces, Halliburton, NASA and NATO.

COURSE ADVANTAGE:You will leave our course with teaching skills/qualifications for HAZMAT/HAZWOPER, course materials to take back to your agency/company to hold your own classes and most importantly be OSHA compliant.

PREREQUISITES: Completion of the 40 Hour initial HAZWOPER training or emergency response training or prior experience in occupational safety and health or hazardous waste operations or emergency response. Previous instructor experience is not required.

COURSE MATERIALS REQUIRED: Laptop computer and a sense of humor.

COURSE ITINERARY:

Day 1: Instructor and Student introductions. Course overview, defining a successful training program, adult learning techniques & learning styles. You'll also be given a presentation assignment.

Day 2: Learning cycle, training needs, developing objectives, designing the program, training methods & types of trainers. Time to work on your presentations.

Day 3: First presentation will be given. Setting the climate, common errors in training, the four step plan, characteristics of an effective trainer, dealing with difficult trainees, visual aids. Time to work on your final presentation.

Day 4: 8hr Hazwoper re-fresher class

Day 5: Course review and final presentations and evaluations.
