6-2) PPE – Hazard Assessment and Selection

Employers are required by OSHA (29 CFR 1910.132) to determine all exposures to hazards in their workplace and determine if PPE should be used to protect their workers.

PPE must be provided, used, and maintained in a sanitary and reliable condition wherever hazards exist in the workplace.

Employers must determine what types of PPE are appropriate for their workers to protect against specific hazards, and ensure that workers know how to use PPE properly.

Course includes training exercises, handouts, and a quiz.

Consulting available upon request; LSC will meet with managers/supervisors to evaluate workplace for the proper training and PPE necessary.
